Turnstone, wet and cool, leaves the pond and wanders off to find his companion. Sable Island horses also enjoy the beach. In summer they wander along the edge of the water, and sometimes walk out into the waves. They've been seen, albeit not often, up to their chests in the surf zone water. More common is to find them rolling on the cool, wet sand at the sea's edge.
