Magnificent Frigatebirds have a wingspan of about 235 cm (varies from 225 to 244 cm, depending on the authority consulted), and in proportion to body weight, this is the longest wingspan of all bird species. The wing chord measurement of this specimen was 61 cm (a length perhaps slightly exaggerated by the “loosening” effects of scavenging). |
