Ipswich Sparrow Passerculus sandwichensis princeps, April 10. This large and pale subspecies of the Savannah Sparrow breeds almost exclusively on the island. Although several hundred usually remain on Sable during winter, most overwinter on the outermost dunes along the east coast of the USA.
