A immature Long-tailed Jaeger Stercorarius longicaudus on Sable Island, August 10, showing the tail streamers characteristic of this species. The adults of all jaeger species have elongated central tail feathers – the Long-tailed has, of course, the longest (15-24 cm long in breeding adults).
