A PAS (on the mainland) being taken out of its airtight Teflon shipping tube. The samplers were left in place at the 40 stations for 12 months, then the resin-filled steel mesh cylinders were shipped to the University of Toronto for analysis. The samplers yielded annually averaged concentrations of HCHs for each site.
