Pile of litter collected from a small section of beach (500 sq m) at the west end of the island on September 5th 2002. Although the amount of accumulated litter varies depending on winds, currents and season (thus at times some stretches of beach have very little garbage), this pile of garbage represents amounts and types typically washing ashore.
