A sandblasted wooden tray, washed ashore thirty years ago, once held pop bottles. Now it holds things found on the beach (including moon snail and barnacle shells, a toe bone from a horse, a ball of fur shed by a seal pup, a skull of a shearwater), and a small green horse (carved malachite) sent to the island by one of Sable Island’s friends.
