The bladder is a collapsible round container constructed of high strength urethane-coated nylon fabric, and is suspended in nylon straps within an aluminium cradle. Similar but smaller bladders (600 litre capacity) are used by CCG when transporting fuel oil to the Sable Island Station during the annual sealift. These bladders were specifically designed, and approved by Transport Canada, to carry fuel.
