Grey Seals Halichoerus grypus. Grey Seals greatly outnumber Harbour Seals on Sable Island. During December through February Grey Seals give birth to pups and mate. Long-term studies of this species are carried out by researchers from Fisheries & Oceans Canada and Dalhousie University.
