During spring, the bright yellow of occasional dandelions is as welcome a sight as is the similarly brilliant yellow of visiting warblers. Dandelion Taraxacum officinale is another of the introduced plant species. It arrived on Sable Island years ago during periods of extensive settlement and farming activities associated with the life saving stations.
