The accommodations building at the Sable Island Station provides storage for emergency supplies (food, water, bedding, clothing) for up to 100 people for five days. The “safe haven” provided by the Station serves not only the offshore energy industry, but all people potentially affected by marine disasters in the Scotian Shelf region.
