Bartonia paniculata var. sabulonensis, a plant endemic to Sable Island.  Endemic species are those that are native to or confined to a certain region, in this case, found only on Sable Island.  The flora of Sable Island includes three endemic plants and 44 species of conservation interest (i.e. plants having a restricted distribution or rarity, or existing in the northern or southern extremes of their range).
