September 2005, Roger Savage, a Nova Scotian artist based in Liverpool, spent ten days painting out in the windswept landscape of Sable Island. During the last few decades, the infrastructure provided by the Station has made it possible for artists and writers, from Canada and abroad, to explore and work on the island safely and cost-effectively.
