During summer 2002, several new buildings - associated with the wind farm project - were constructed at the Sable Island Station. Since the necessary materials - lumber, shingles, siding, windows - can be delivered only by the annual CCG sea-lift in early summer, such construction must be well-planned. Here (July 15) construction begins on an extension to an existing building - the ground is excavated and leveled.
