An O3 bench tester is used to check overall performance of the instrument, and consists of: a) a variable O3 source for conditioning the air intake tube (Teflon), pump and sensor with O3; b) a power supply for operating the sensor during preparation and testing; and c) electrical meters for checking the ozonesonde motor and sensor characteristics.
