Gas chromatograph. In addition to CO2 monitoring, the MSC's greenhouse gases program uses a gas chromatograph (equipped with a flame ionization detector) for the measurement of carbon monoxide and methane, and an electron capture detector for measurement of nitrous oxide and sulfur hexafluoride.
