Ocean triggerfish Canthidermis sufflamen are occasionally found on the beach during summer. This species is a member of a family of fishes called "leatherjackets" - mostly small to medium-sized fishes of warm-temperate and tropical waters. Triggerfish have two dorsal fins, but only the second dorsal is visible in this specimen found in July. Although this fish was only 25 cm in length, ocean triggerfish can be as much as 60 cm.
