Conditions at Thebaud during a storm event. Current speed and direction data collected during the first 15 days of September 2002, show the effects of a major storm event on the 12th (Hurricane Gustav).  At Thebaud, the current direction reflect semi-diurnal tidal movements, and the uniformity of current direction and speed throughout the water column is due to well-mixed conditions in the shallow waters.
