Normally concrete bases would be used for both towers bases and guy anchors, however to reduce disturbance to the vegetated terrain at the site, screw-type anchors (Helical Pier® Foundation Systems) were used. In August 2002, the Station’s Bobcat was equipped with a hydraulically powered rotary type torque motor to install the anchors.
