Jim the rigger uses a hand-operated tirfor to winch the lines that raised the tower. It was hoped that use of a tirfor would reduce the amount of vehicle traffic into the site, however the tirfor began to slip early in process, and it was necessary to use the winch on the Station truck for most of the raising and lowering of towers.
